Ignacius frugivorous war ein kleiner Primat aus der Familie Paromomyidae (Tribus Phenacolemurini innerhalb der Unterfamilie Phenoacolemurinae), der vom mittleren Paläozän bis ins frühe Eozän in Nordamerika verbreitet war.

Das Typusexemplar mit der Bezeichnung A.M.N.H. No. 17368 ist ein Oberkiefer mit Eckzahn sowie Prämolaren und Molaren, es ist zwischen 60,2 und 56,8 Millionen Jahre alt, das verrät sein Fundort bei Mason Pocket im La Plata County, Colorado.

Ignacius frugivorous war ein baumlebender Allesfresser. Basierend auf der Morphologie seiner Backenzähne schätzt man das Körpergewicht auf 231,3 Gramm.
